Game Recap:

Our second game featured Capital City Lions vs the Original Gangsters in a closely fought contest that was a treat for the fans.

The game began with the Capital City Lions taking the lead courtesy of a goal from Austin Perron, set up by Faith Murray. However, the Original Gangsters retaliated with two quick goals, one by Denise Smith and another by Jonathan Malloy, assisted by Jeff Murphy. The Lions' Brock Murray responded before the period ended, equalizing the score at 2-2.

The second period was intense with both teams trading goals. The Original Gangsters' Jeff Murphy took the lead, but the Lions roared back with three consecutive goals: two from Sam Parsonson, both set up by JP Donnelly, and another from Brock Murray, assisted by Austin Perron. However, the Original Gangsters showed resilience with Jeff Murphy and Jonathan Malloy netting two more, tying the game at 5-5. The game culminated in a shootout where the Capital City Lions managed to score, giving them a narrow 6-5 victory.
